2018 Savagnin 'The Verrine'
Savagnin, which originates from the Jura in France produces a wine style that is vibrant and fresh.
Aromas of fresh lime, apple and pear with underlying herbal notes.
Dry, crisp acid with a pronounced fruit intensity of citrus fruits and green apple. The mid-palate displays clean and fresh citrus intensity, texture, balance and finishes long and bright. Drink now with seafood.
James Halliday writes ... “From its home in the French Jura mountains to the Swan Valley is a huge jump for savagnin - somehow Pandemonium pulled it off enough to go silver (90-94 points).” James Halliday Wine Companion 2020 - 91 Pts
Ray Jordan writes ... One of the few Savagnins made in WA. There's a certain precision here with slightly citrusy, grassy edges to it. A nice arvo drink after a hot day slaving in the garden I reckon.
