2013 Shiraz Tempranillo 'The Barbas'

This is a fruit driven blend of Shiraz and Tempranillo that will suit a wide range of food. Tempranillo is a Spanish variety that is wonderfully juicy and flavoursome.

Intense, spicy, red/black fruits with an underlying licorice and black jube aroma.
A dry, soft and plush tannin structure with a lick of seasoned oak. Flavours of blue/black fruit, namely blueberry and black plum that are ripe and build through the mid-palate. A medium to full bodied wine with a medium to long finish.

Ray Jordan, WA Wine Guide 2017 ... "A neat combination of these two varieties that works really well. There's an earthy richness here with the raspberry dusty characters of the tempranillo complementing the plumper plummy shiraz ..."  90/100
